My SMS’s are not working.

  • Check that you have a phone number entered into your profile page as this is the number that the SMS’s will be sent to.
  • Check the phone number in your profile page is correct
  • Check that your SMS’s have a tick in the box next to it as this activates / de-activates SMS alerts.

How to turn on / off SMS notifications?

  • SMS’s can be activated and deactivated using 2 different methods.

    (NOTE: When activating SMS’s the same method that was used to de-activate the SMS notifications must be used to reactivate the SMS notifications).

  1. The first method to turn off SMS alerts is to access your account and in your profile page and un-check the box beside SMS’s. To reactivate SMS’s repeat the same process.
  2. The second method to deactivate SMS’s is to Reply “STOP” to the Notification text that you receive, or send a text to 0428 968 733 with “Stop”. (To activate again text “Start” to the last notification text that you receive, or to 0428 968 733).

My SMS are turned on and not working.

  • If your SMS box is checked / activated in your profile page and you still are not receiving SMS’s, try texting “Start” to 0428 968 733. The method used to deactivate the SMS’s needs to be used to reactivate the SMS’s, if they are deactivated by replying “Stop” to the information text message, then “Start” would need to be replied to the last received text message or to 0428 968 733 to activate the SMS alerts again.

How do I know if someone has looked at my ad?

  • If someone views your contact details you will receive an SMS alert (providing that the SMS alerts are active) and there will also be a notification in the notifications bar on the left hand side giving you relevant information.

Dose the phone number displayed with my ad receive SMS’s?

  • The phone number associated with your ad will only receive SMS’s if it is the DEFAULT phone number (The phone number that is in your profile page).
  • If the default phone number is changed when creating your ad, your ad will display the new contact number you change it to but the SMS’s will still go to the default phone number (The phone number that is in your profile page).

What phone number receives SMS’s?

  • The phone number that receives all SMS’s related to this account is the phone number that is in your profile page (Your default number).

What times will I receive SMS’s between?

  • SMS’s are set to send between 7am and 7pm every day.
  • If any notifications are activated outside of these times you will receive an SMS the following morning after 7am providing you have the SMS alert option turned on.

Who can see my ad?

  • Only Connecta Buddy users can see any ad’s you have on the site.

What is my default phone number

  • “My default phone number” is the phone number that is saved on your profile page.
  • This number will be prefilled into the phone number section when creating an ad.
  • This phone number will also be the phone number that all SMS’s related to this account will be sent to.
